articulture is pleased to announce the featured artists for it’s first season of Community Supported Art. This season nine artists will have the opportunity to share their work with fifty shareholders! Member shares cost $300 for the three-month season and can be purchased by visting articulture.us. Shares are on sale now and will sell out fast.

About
Over the last 20 years, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become a popular way for consumers to buy seasonal food directly from local farms. With the same buy-direct, buy-local spirit in mind, articulture created a similar endeavor to support local art, artists and collectors: community supported articulture supports artists in the creation of new work, to establish relationships with local collectors and patrons, and to participate in the launch of an exciting new model of art support and distribution.

How It Works
The selected artists receive a commission to create 50 "shares" for the program. Interested consumers/collectors will purchase a share from articulture and in return receive "farm boxes" of locally produced artwork at intervals during the season. Featured works could include items such as: an edition of vinyl 7", a run of screen-prints, series of small tea cups, run of photographs, tickets to an upcoming performance or event, letterpress editions of a poem or short story, or even 50 small original paintings. Each member share includes one piece from each of the 9 community supported articulture featured artist works over the season and also includes "bumper crop" of additional artwork and arts opportunities. The pick-up evenings are at local art sites and will be events in themselves.

Member shares cost $300 for the three-month season and can be purchased by visiting www.articulture.us. You can also contact Chad Herzog at 917-512-9420 or info@articulture.us. Act now, as they will sell out fast!

The selected artists will receive a commission to assist in the production of new work to be distributed through articulture. Interested consumers/collectors can purchase a share from articulture and in return receive 3 "farm boxes" of locally produced artwork at three winter pick up events. Each share will included at total of 9 original works for the season and contain a carefully curated mix of mediums, disciplines, value and concepts...as well as a few surprises, just like a garden farm box. One of the intents of the program is finding familiar names and forms mixed with new and unexpected pieces in each share. Featured works could include anything from a pressing of a vinyl 7" record, a small run of screen-prints, or functional porcelain dishware, to limited-edition photographs, tickets to shareholder-only performances, or letterpress editions of a poem or short story. Each member share will also include "bumper crop" of additional artwork and arts opportunities. The pick-up events will be at local art and food sites, and will give shareholders the opportunity to meet the artists individually, as well as enjoy food and music from local luminaries.

The goals of the community supported articulture program are to support artists and to create an engaged community of local arts supporters. Articulture supports artists: in the creation of new work, to establish relationships with local collectors and patrons, and to participate in the launch of an exciting new model of art support and distribution. articulture share member benefits include multiple works of art from local emerging and mid-career artists at a fantastic value! Additionally, articulture share members have the opportunity to develop relationships with the local artists and art community, discover new artists, explore a variety of disciplines and support artists' careers and a vibrant community.

Community Supported Arts is happening now!

For more than twenty years the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) movement has been growing across the country.
